2016 kick-off with THE KITCHEN
We start the new year with three weeks of school performances of our children’s production The Kitchen. By the end of January we will have performed for more than 4000 school children in Oslo!

Jo Strømgren Kompani leaps happily into the new year with several exciting January projects with a special focus on Norwegian/American collaboration. January 20th we proudly welcome our great American performers for the Norwegian premiere of A Doll’s House at The Norwegian Opera in Oslo.

We want to wish all our friends, collaborators, audiences and colleagues a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 2015 has been a great year for us, and we are now excited to soon kick off 2016! We already have a lot of exciting plans lined up for the spring.

FOOTBALL and PING PONG on tour
This week A DANCE TRIBUTE TO THE ART OF FOOTBALL and A DANCE TRIBUTE TO PING PONG are back on the road. Our Football ballet will on Tuesday be performed as part of Transcendanse festival in Pornichet, Loire-Atlantique. And on Thursday our Ping Pong students bring their guru to Gothenburg and Stora Teatern.
THE KITCHEN mini tour
Next week our children’s production THE KITCHEN will embark on a mini tour to Svalbard, Sandnes and Drammen. We are especially excited as the part of “The Little One” on this tour will be played by JSK’s longtime company member Guri Glans.
Hammerfest - this week's place to be
Two exciting events take place in the northernmost town in the world this week. Keðja, a seminar and a Nordic/Baltic collaboration of professional meetings for dancers, choreographers, producers and booking agents. And DanseFestival Barents, offering an exciting programme of dance performances. JSK is ready to join it all!
420People takes Ping Pong to Prague
In June we opened a version of A DANCE TRIBUTE TO PING PONG with Czech company 420PEOPLE at the festival TANECVALMEZ in Czech Republic. Now it is finally time for this show to premiere in Prague, and on October 30th and November 30th 420PEOPLE will perform at Jatka 78!
Our Football team hits Helsinki
This weekend our long-lived success A DANCE TRIBUTE TO THE ART OF FOOTBALL will perform at Alexanterin Teatteri in Helsinki, as guests of acclaimed Tero Saarinen Company. We are happy to be invited, and ready to rock Helsinki on Friday and Saturday.
Ping Pong in Poland
Tonight A DANCE TRIBUTE TO PING PONG will open the International Dance Theaters Festival OPEN STAGE in Tarnow, Poland. We are happy to be back!
